Ways on How to Celebrate Mother’s Day

Before anything else, I would like to greet all the mothers a Happy Mother’s Day.

Every Mother’s Day, a lot of people would order flowers and gifts to surprise their moms. Like most people, I believe that a mother’s love is one of the most powerful forces in the world. A mother’s love is simply amazing and unconditional. Since our Mothers are so great, they deserve to feel extra special not only on Mother’s Day but everyday… well, alright… we don’t have that much money to spend on a daily basis, so let me just share with everyone some simple ways on how to Mother’s Day.

1. Magical cookie jar. On a piece of paper, write down details of special or unforgettable memories you and your mom have shared. Be more specific on listing to make things exciting. Make sure that you use memorable phrases that will help her easily remember the past experience. Present her the jar and sit beside her and read each paper to reminisce memories.

2. Gather around and interview each family member (both old and young) about special things they love most about their mother. Ask them about the most exciting and sweet moment with MOM. You may record the sentiments on a video or make a scrap book wherein you can transcribe the thoughts in a special moment. Include also the family favorite recipe, the pictures of events like Christmas, gatherings, family outings; consider her best maternal words of wisdom…anything you can remember about your mother.

3. Scrap Book. Cover a compiled papers or hardbound journal with patterned papers. Include photos of mother’s children as well as a special pen and spaces for her to record what she is most grateful in this world.

4. Contribute and help other mothers in need by giving special or basic needs like clothing, food or other household needs that will help organize them.

5. If your mother is a member of an organization or has a charity that helps others, try to donate something or organize events that will cover up the institution.

6. Make an arrangement. Get together with your family and friends and create simple but touchy handmade cards for your mom (or other Moms you know). It is good to include a heartfelt message and handwritten letter.

7. Send flowers to a new mom in her 1st celebration of Mother’s day.

8. Some mothers like tablecloth. Start making a tablecloth memento. Go with an oversized tablecloth and some fabric pens. Ask each member of the family to sign the tablecloth with special message to your mom. Kids can make their hand prints, too. This is a good keepsake, and you can add more messages every year on Mother’s day.

9. Write a letter to your brothers and sisters about the enrichment of your parents. Save these letters in a special journal or include it on a scrap book you made and give to your children when they become parents themselves.

10. Spend some time in viewing through your scrap book or diary. Reflect on the memories, the bounty love that comes to you and your family and maternal love each year you spend on special events.
